PTECFF Scholarship Opportunities Now Open for Pender and Thurston Community Members

Pender, Neb. (March 23, 2026) The Pender Thurston Education and Community Foundation (PTECFF) is proud to announce that scholarship opportunities are now available for community members pursuing their educational goals. With a strong commitment to supporting local students and lifelong learners, PTECFF continues to invest in the future of the Pender and Thurston communities.

PTECFF offers two types of scholarships designed to meet individuals at different stages of their educational journey:

Traditional Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors and are currently open for applications through April 1. Students interested in applying are encouraged to connect with Pender Public School Guidance Counselor, Thad Nixon, for application details and support.

Non-Traditional Scholarships are available year-round and are designed for individuals continuing their education beyond high school. These scholarships may support a wide range of opportunities, including graduate or master’s degree programs, community college coursework, and other continuing education or skill-building programs. Applicants can complete the application directly on the PTECFF website at www.ptecff.org/scholarships.

Through these efforts, PTECFF has awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships, impacting over 100 community members and helping open doors to educational advancement and career growth.

“Investing in education is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen our communities,” said Dee Moeller, PTECFF President. “Whether it’s a student just beginning their journey or someone continuing their education later in life, we’re proud to support their goals.”

Community members are encouraged to apply or share this opportunity with someone who may benefit. For more information about eligibility and application requirements, visit www.ptecff.org/scholarships.
